Thusday, 9-16-2010 (Port Sanilac, MI)

This is a picture of us and the boat in the background in Port Sanilac, waiting for a waitress to serve us dinner.  She never showed up.

These pictures are Kyle with with his salsa and chip sandwich in the making and Jim relaxing in his cabin.

This morning it was raining and the wind was howling at 20 to 25 knots out of the South.  We slept in an extra hour, but decided to leave since the weather was predicted to improve as the day progressed.  We almost turned back after about two hours of motoring into 5 to 7 foot waves and making only about 2 knots toward our destination, but the wind and waves started to diminish.  We were able put the sails up as the wind became more Easterly and made it to Port Sanilac, MI.

  1. Sounds like yesterday was a rough day...no dinner...no wind...just rain...and cold. Just remember, very shortly you will be in warm caribbean blue waterways! Hope today goes better.
